Christmas in Xalapa

It’s definitely feeling like Christmas in Xalapa. Folks on the streets are bundled in their jackets, scarves, and gloves; the shops are festooned; and the public areas of the City are elaborately decorated. Last night there were trails of candles throughout Parque Juarez, even up and down the stairs. There was a cadre of folks, young and old, scurrying around to keep the candles lit. It was very cool.

One of the very large trees in Parque Juarez has been fitted with lights.
